NIGHT
Noc is a beeswax candle intended for ritual burning. The candle is a symbolic offering of light from my hands to the hands of others. The pattern of four hearts forming a four leaf clover is present to bring good fortune and guidance, attracting the feeling of love and closeness.
Each piece is crafted from the beeswax collected by my granddad in the countryside in Lubelskie region. The candles are made by continuous hand-dipping of the wick in the hot wax, slowly building up the layers. Shaped by hand into their final forms while still warm, each piece gains its unique character. Each piece is made with two candles which you can burn in a variety of ways and paces.

Their interests include traditional craft practices, Slavic folklore and the mystification of everyday life. They work mainly with wax, clay and locally collected natural materials. With the element of fire as a link in their practices, they explore the connections between what is human and non-human. In their practice, personal symbolism is the medium and touch is the portal. They make ritual candles from wax from their grandfather's apiary. Their family has been keeping bees for five generations.
